The MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf Prima Games Strategy Guide is a soft cover book created and published in 2004 by Prima Games, a division of Random House Inc., and later hosted online at Prima Games' eGuides site. The guide was created in collaboration with members of the MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf video game development team. The purpose of Prima's guides are to provide an informative catalog of a game's contents and in-depth guides for players detailing each of the game's levels, and strategies explaining how to navigate and complete them.
The Lone Wolf Guide presents a departure in style from the MechAssault guide in that each mission now has its own dedicated chapter rather than multiple missions being slumped together. Also the stats of enemy Tanks, Turrets and Aircraft are omitted from the guide.
